SCHOOL DRESS CODE

We greatly value our dress code. Pupils come to school clean, tidy and sensibly dressed in the correct frame of mind to access their learning and work hard.

Pupils must wear:

          - Trousers, skirt, pinafore or shorts in navy, black or grey

          - Tights, socks - white, navy, black or grey

          - Royal Blue sweatshirt

          - Navy fleece

          - Navy polo shirt

          - Sensible footwear

Sweatshirts, fleeces and polo shirts can be purchased from the school office. Please ask at the office if you would like an order form.

Jeans, leggings and sportswear are unacceptable.

All pupils require footwear for suitable for PE - black pumps or another sensible form of footwear can be worn. If your child wears school shoes, please ensure they have additional footwear appropriate for PE lessons.

PE KIT

White t-shirt and black shorts.

PE bag (a small drawstring bag).

For outdoor games, tracksuits and joggers are a good idea during the cold months.

Pumps or trainers are required for outdoor sports. It is essential that PE kit is in school every day in a small drawstring bag. No large kit bags please – our cloakrooms are very restricted in size.

JEWELLERY

Jewellery can cause accidents in school and should be left at home.

Pupils with pierced ears must only wear stud earrings; other styles can be dangerous to both themselves and others.

Year 4 pupils go swimming throughout the year. Pupils should not have ears pierced during this time as all jewellery must be removed before swimming. Swimming is a part of the PE National Curriculum and all pupils must attend during Year 4. Make-up and false nails are totally inappropriate for school at this age.
